My name is Alex Vostrykov, and to describe myself in two words, I would say: entrepreneur and investor.

I started investing 7 years ago (at the moment of writing this) and I mostly stick to fundamental/value investing so far. Later on I started helping out some of my friends to get the hang of investments. That worked well. And finally I decided to build an investment research tool for beginners – to speed up the process and to actually help out more people.

And building blackbeltinvestments.com (that is how I named it) brought me to the realm of business. Before then I had just a couple of minor projects aside from my job, and could not consider myself a full-fledged entrepreneur. But 18 month of full immersion into the world of business made miracle to me: I did not just acquired some more skills, but also significantly changed my world-building and thinking.

The goal of this blog is to share my key realms of interest (investing, business, startups, entrepreneurial thinking to name a few) with like-minded people. The structure of the blog is described here in more details.
